PDF 99 KB Appendix B - outside body appointments 24-25 , item 71. PDF 79 KB Webcast for 71. Minutes: The minutes of the Council meeting held on 23 May 2024 were confirmed and signed by the Chair. In doing so, the Chair clarified a statement made at Annual Council by explaining Councillor Sir Nicholas White had been appointed as a substitute to the Gatwick Airport Consultative Committee in 2019 for Councillor Lockwood, and not in 2018.
72.	Chair's Announcements Additional documents: Webcast for 72. Minutes: Fundraising and Events The Chair explained she had attended community events and charitable causes throughout June. She had been impressed by the incredible spirit and dedication of the Tandridge District Community. It was a particular honour to join the Poppy Appeal event at Lingfield Racecourse and the inspiring Caterham School’s Speech Day. Chair’s Charities The Chair had visited both her chosen charities, the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity and the Air Ambulance Kent, Surrey and Sussex, in June. It had been a delight to meet the dedicated staff of both and the crew members of the Air Ambulance and witness first hand their swift response to emergencies. The Chair encouraged all to support these charities which provided vital services. Mr Vince Sharp The Chair paid tribute to Mr Vince Sharp, Democratic and Electoral Services Officer, who would be leaving the Council in September 2024 concluding 35 years of service.
