Fundraising and Events

 

The Chair referred to recent events she had attended including the Warlingham Christmas Lights switch on, the Smallfield Christmas Craft Fair, Remembrance Day events and the staff awards.

 

The Chair gave notice of a Quiz Night on 1 March 2025 at South Godstone Sports Association where money would be raised for her charities.

 

Training

 

The Chair referred to several climate training programmes on offer for Members and encouraged Members to attend.

Minute 180 – Proposed change to Standing Order 18 of the Council’s Constitution

 

The Strategy & Resources Committee had recommended a change to Standing Order 18 of the Council’s Constitution which related to Committee and Sub-Committee Business.

 

Councillor Gray, supported by the requisite number of other Members as required by Standing Order 13(4), requested that the recommendation be the subject to a recorded vote. The result of the vote was as follows:
