On the 16^th November 2021, the Committee had approved a revised a Statement of Licensing Policy for a twelve week consultation held between the 3^rd December 2021 and 25^th February 2022. A report was presented which advised the Committee of the four responses to that consultation and the proposed amendments to the draft policy statement submitted to the November 2021 meeting, i.e.:

·                adding the following to the (public safety) risk assessment criteria at 20.2.3:

Ø   ‘When holding events with an anticipated larger capacity, provide a parking management plan, independently or within the event management plan detailing the risk of increased traffic, congestion and parking in the vicinity of the event and how it will be mitigated’

Ø   ‘Measures to take account of expected and potential impacts on outdoor events by the weather’

·                adding ‘via the Parish Council Clerk’ to paragraph 32.1 (i.e. where officers notify Parish Councils of applications for, or variations to, new premises licences and club premises certificates).

The Committee welcomed the proposed new policy statement. The Senior Licensing Officer responded to various questions, including confirmation that the contact details for the ‘responsible authorities’ listed at Appendix 1 of the document would be checked to ensure they were relevant to Tandridge.

            R E C O M M E N D E D – that the revised Statement of Licensing Policy, as attached as Annex A to the report (subject to minor amendments to the descriptions of statutory agencies and external contact points) be adopted.
